Are LandRollers better than regular in-line skates?
We think so! The larger wheels enable LandRoller riders to roll over irregular ground better than inline skates. The wheels’ special configuration also provides more stability, making it easier for beginners to learn how to skate.

Are different techniques required to skate on LandRollers?
There are minor adjustments required for inline skaters to take full advantage of LandRoller skates. Advanced skaters generally need about 20 minutes to adjust their turning, cross-overs and push-off techniques. Beginners will learn easier on LandRollers due to their greater stability and the ability to roll easily over less regular surfaces.

Which size should I order online?
LandRoller skates use standard UK shoe and boot sizes. However the boots are not flexible like a pair of shoes, therefore we suggest customers order 1 size larger than their regular sports shoes size. Some customers with wider feet may need 2 sizes larger. Should the skates be slightly large, most customers wear a thick pair of socks, which also adds to riding comfort. After receiving your skates, please try them on indoors on carpeted or hardwood floors. If they do not fit, please return them as new and we will exchange them for another size. See our shopping cart for Return Policy.

How do I brake with LandRollers?
LandRollers come with a brake arm and pad attached to the heel of the right skate, which can easily be switched to the left skate if preferred. To brake lift the toe and apply pressure to the heel of the braking skate. This forces the brake pad against the ground. Experienced skaters may stop with tight turns and T-brakes. These techniques are effective but increase wear on the LandRoller wheels.

How should I maintain my LandRollers?
Use a moist cloth to wipe dirt off the frame and wheels. Occasionally you can apply mild soap on the boot. Ensure than the bearings are clean and dry. You can remove the inner liners and wash with mild soap and water. Do not use a hairdryer as the strong heat can damage your LandRollers. Instead please dry at room temperature.

Can I use my LandRollers in aggressive skating?
LandRollers are recreational/fitness skates and should not be used for jumping and grinding as this can greatly damage the LandRollers.
